F1 stars line up against e-pros. Elite racing drivers such as Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen are taking to virtual tracks to stay sharp while not on the real race track. But how do they stack up virtually against the likes of Esports pros such as Brendon Leigh and countless other crack SIM racers?

09.12.2023Its amazing how many people are saying sim racers will never be able to take 1 turn or lap in a real car….as they watch this video with verstappen…..
John Macaulay
17.09.2023You can win sim racing but being in the car racing at 200 odds mph with your life on the line is a different matter altogether. The 2 can’t really be compared. You hit the wall in a sim it’s game over. You drive a f1 car at full speed and hit walls it’s most likely LIFE OVER
Dwayne Diah
28.04.2023I learn to drive by using a racing simulator and guess what happened I passed my driving test

18.03.2023I wanne be de best online racer who I need to beat ?

16.12.2022Brandon has his head stuck in a cave if he thinks esports will surpass the popularity of F1.
Sarina Taylor Pliszka
26.10.2022Brandon the question is do you look up to f1 drivers and maybe not just do you look up to them in esports. Cuz brandon is def a star in himself in esports which i get
Karl
23.10.2022Brandon Lee sounds like he's trying so hard to keep his head up against the real drivers
Ankit Kawale
17.10.2022I don't think virtual racing will even be even close to real racing money-wise simply by thinking will your country spend more money on its defence budget or any competitive FPS
Laxative Erosion
12.10.2022bruh the ego of this sim drivers XD imagine if they were on the real car they would 100% passout from the g force ahhahaha
Fox 1
10.10.2022Brendon Leigh is so damn ignorant here. Apart from ignoring the physical needs and dangers of real racing he seems to forget that the only reason he´s that fast is because he spends an ungodly amount of time practicing. In real life you don´t get that time because of cost´s and time limitations. It seems this video aged like milk anyway.

07.10.2022the main difference is esport racing lack of the sense of danger. they dont need to get cuts burns or death because the car crashed into each other.
Just Some Bigfoot With Internet Access
04.10.2022This guy really thinks sim is the same as real life? 🤣
Let's see if he can survive:
1. Lateral g force and heat.
2. The pressure of getting screwed up when your pit crew made a mistake in crucial moments.
3. The pressure of having a shit car and incompetent team.
4. Having to adapt your driving style within your car's development.
5. The unpredictable weather and conditions in various tracks. (He should watch 2021 Russian GP and observe the pressure of decision making between drivers and team strategists)

04.10.2022they really put engine sounds on formula e footage

03.10.2022gt7 clip even tough it came out in 2022 and this video came in 2020?

01.10.2022I testd both kart and sim and is very different in real life you can feel more like the danger of crashing and the speed, the air .The sim like if you crash you just put another car and thats it .
Arildo Jr
27.09.2022Theres at least 2 things or more that make a RUGE difference between real life and a sim, first is your helmet becoming dirt by the time. And two, the car is really moving, bumping, in high speed, i imagine the pain in the body the pilots can feel during and after a race.
Michael Johnson

16.07.2022Bruhhh is he trying to saying sim racing is just as hard as f1😆😆😆 Yoo he is getting entitled 😆😆
eatcheesekobe
14.07.2022sim racing, no matter how realistic they try to make it, for all the hype it may generate, at the end of the day it lacks the thrill of a real race because there are no consequences – if you make a mistake you just "reset"

HP
07.07.2022Simulators have come so far, but the risk factor irl changes the game quite a bit. You’d rush into a burning fire to save a puppy if it was simulation, but would you do that irl ?… Now you get what I’m saying. They are not the same

11.06.2022I sim race and these nerds playing simcades on consoles would crumble into dust after their first 3G corner. Show some respect to the guys who do it in real life…..punks
Luca #56
25.05.2022Why do people need drivers to risk killing themselves in order to be legit? That's just sick. If there's exciting racing, who cares if it's on a track or in a sim?

23.05.2022Talent beats money anytime
John Rupesh
16.05.2022These teens in the comment section who have never driven a real race car in their life, thinks sim racing is just like real life racing. Makes me laugh really. Kids would remain kids I guess.
HP
03.05.2022Respect to E-sports F1 racers, but they’re dead stupid if they honestly believe that sim is anywhere near the real thing… constructors spend 100s of millions to construct a car that uphold real talent and speed. F1 drivers face death at a speed of 200 miles/hr with the fear of snapping their necks at any given moment. The real thing is much more intense and sim doesn’t even come close to the real thing. It’s like a COD player saying that he could nab 15 kills in a real war, when in all honesty he’d be dead before learns the difference

29.04.2022Is this chap trying to compare e sports to real life racing lmfao
What a joke. Lol

29.04.2022E Sports isn´t real racing

29.04.2022Even covid-19 cannot stop racing real or simulator

Keyboard Warrior
28.04.2022He’s trying to convince himself that sim racing is just as tiring. I hate to break it to you but while you’re sitting on your gamer chair with Cheetos on your nightstand, these f1 drivers are lifting 45 pound weights strapped to their neck to withstand 9 G’s. You wouldn’t last a single corner in a real rig. No one is going to watch e sports as much as actual sports because everyone wants to see real life situations, the driver behind the wheel has to make sure he doesn’t crash a 2 million dollar car, not a simulator car. More money is moved in actual racing then e sports so it’s better for the economy.
Rigged RC
28.04.2022Yeah but the very best sim driver ever to live, probably couldn't complete even one fast lap in a real formula 1 car. Sim really isn't very close to real driving like sim games want you to think.
Chelsea Beaird
28.04.2022Online racing is WAY more competitive then the real thing. Hamilton wouldn't stand a chance against the top 20 online racers even if he practiced for a year.
Jordaan
28.04.2022The Esports guy isn’t t sounding intelligent 😂
DryBones Malone
28.04.2022Brandon is what’s wrong with E- racing and most other sims… little personality, no idols? These people are pasty and unrelatable as people… Bro you don’t have hero? Who inspired you? You just woke up one day and got race wheel? This kid is a buzzzzzzzkill – interviewers nightmare
Sigildo Maier
28.04.2022I think sim will never be more popular than real life. In rl there is the history, real action, danger, Legends, the fans and so much more than in Esports(it´s nice to watch yeah but not even near to f1 when you think you just have to sit in your chair while for rl drivers every lap could be their last one.)
Jiří Nováček
28.04.2022Finally pro racing isnt just for a few choosen one very rich people. I cheer for this industry
Dave Strider
28.04.2022I think saying the prize money will be greater at the lower levels is a very fair point. In real life racing huge sums of money have to be spent on the car and travel meaning most would be winnings go down the drain to fund the operation. That said, I don’t see Esports drivers commanding 30 million dollar salaries anytime soon.
Phil_Zupra_B58
28.04.2022Tell me you never drove/played real racing sims without telling me dear comment section/boomers 😂
