Once you’ve got started in the F1 2021 game, finished the Braking Point story and got deep into My Team, it’s then time to step up your pace. But how do you get faster? By listening to those who play the game day in, day out, of course! The esports professionals.
We enlisted seven of the fastest F1 2021 drivers in the world – who have all competed for F1 esports glory – for their top tips for getting faster.
Finding those extra tenths could be the different between being a tail-end Charlie and winning an online league championship. We cover trail braking, differential settings, online practice and the drifting which looks to be the current quickest way around an F1 2021 lap.

09.12.2023It’s hard for me to trail brake on controller due to the sensitivity of it

05.11.2022In your brake bias tutorial with Dave you teach the opposite of what you said in this video. Less brake bias for hard braking zones, more brake bias for trail braking. What’s up with that?

10.06.2022Skill rating doesnt work for me. It does nothing and im winning about 40% of all my races and still 95% in the top 50

10.06.2022From watching this vid I just realised I was in a race with matthijs earlier and I didn't evben know who he was. He always had that fastest lap, 😂

10.06.2022So high speed corners need differential closer to 50-60 and low-med speed corners need differential closer to 80-90?

10.06.2022When you mentioned drifting, this is more accurately described as "Slip angle" and theres a lot of useful information about it!

10.06.2022Are you only considered "decent" at the game if you play with no asisst? I play on ps4 control and man gear box… I just can't get the muscle memory right 😅

10.06.2022You kinda got that the wrong way around in the beginning by saying you don't use trail braking in tight corners and you do use it in fast corners. That is the wrong way around. You don't go stamping on the brake when entering medium to fast corners but you do into hairpins, for example.

09.06.2022Would driving hours on Catalunya in time trial with balanced pre-set upmake you faster on other tracks too?

09.06.2022How do I choose on what tire I start in the race? Somehow I do quali on medium and I still end up starting on soft tires. Is this a certain setting or is there something I'm missing here?
SECOMA RACING
09.06.2022I already know these facts I just need to master how to be faster and how to develop my skill with no assists I find no way to practice though I have time trial and stuff it's a bit boring and a grand prix the AI are always either too slow or too fast.

09.06.2022I don't see why you'd disable the assists if you drive faster with them on.
At one point ABS was banned from F1 because of the huge advantage it gave the team that used it first.

09.06.2022Thanks @TraxionGG. So for the ON-throttle differential you suggest 70-95% (locked) for low-speed corners, requiring less trail-braking, while you recommend 55%-65%. (open) for high-speed corners. But we'll still be going faster in high-speed corners with a locked differential right? But at a risk to spin correct?
Another thing, with these parameters set, do you change anything in the OFF-throttle differential or do you just leave them at 75%?
Many thanks for your time
