23.07.2022It's the kind of video that was missing here. Every year I try very hard to improve the setup, and on some tracks I can't.

18.07.2022This was a huge help for me. I haven’t really understood setting up the cars completely since the ballest. That’s been awhile, lol. Thanks a lot.

18.07.2022Front break bias 50 = 56 bias on track, for some reason thats where they capped it, last game they allowed players to get 50 front break bias on track but the made a lot of ppl spin arround in breaking zones due to rear locking, which is almost impossible it not impossible with 56% front break bias atleast in this game/car

18.07.2022Why does the temperature go higher when running higher tire pressures?
It should be the other way round, because of less friction. Or will the tires heat up more because i can go faster through corners?
darkhippy83
18.07.2022Sorry but right tripple left isn't working at all in races. In this game it seems it is all about tyre temps.
Approach it like a real sim for better results. First set your whole car up to reach between 92 to 97 degrees on each tyre. Then gor for aero
balance and at last fine tune your suspension. It is like in real life, get the tyres in the window and your car will go in beast mode.

18.07.2022Is there much difference in set ups for controller vs steering wheel?
Recently moved to a steering wheel and find myself struggling with major understeer and traction.

18.07.2022Thank you for putting the time and effort into making this video F1 22 is the 1st F1 game I've bought in quite a few years think last one was f1 2017 so this information comes in very handy as my cars haven't been handling how I like them to

17.07.2022This video is soooooo helpful. Have always struggled making my own setups and have always copied other setups.

17.07.2022Could we get a video about what to do to a normal setup into a wet setup please 🙂

17.07.2022Hey!
Do you happen to have a tip for a guy like me, who puts a lot of effort into all those setups and stuff, understanding it.. but just can't FEEL the difference?
Especially modifying stuff like suspension or antiroll bars, even tyre pressures, I.. I just don't get it. My lap times stay pretty much the same, car feels the same, all is the same
Drizzydid
17.07.2022This is my favourite video you've ever made. So much value selflessly handed out. That suspension roll bar thing blew my mind because I was before now a set up copier and literally one of your other videos I replied to someone saying there's way too much understeer in this game for me compared to last year and it's been messing me up because I actually prefer oversteer in a car. Now I know why I felt that way so clearly lol. I definitely need to customize my set ups going forward and this is so helpful for that.

17.07.2022Hey JD!
This video really helped me, but I still struggle with the wings settings.
How do I know, what is the best balance between wings on each track? Of course some tracks are straighter, some of them are more crooked, but how should I set up the wings between all those numbers, for example I would try 28/34 on Bahrain, it feels good but there's maybe more potential in straight line speed or in the corners?
If you are going to read this, well then thanks for your time and answer, and I wish you the best in your career, you're really helpful, and your content is amazing to watch!

17.07.2022This is amazing. I was wondering if anyone will ever create such a complex tutorial. I remember that Marcel did it once with f1 2021 but it was not as detailed as this is. Thanks a lot mate <3

17.07.2022on the Hungaroring big Problems with Tyre temperature. For 100% Race. Tyre Pressure is still very low. suspension 5-1 and roll bar 6-5 wide height 4-4. But when u say higher Tyre pressure i got more problems. And very thanks for that video
Bernd Roller
17.07.2022its such a good content you post, man, I mean in general. Can only recommend you
Mhartin celt
16.07.2022Can't run 1-1 wings at Monaco lol.. but apparently u can run 0-0 at Monza going by some TT times, the wing damage model is really different this year, can continue driving with a yellow wing quite easily
Ton AMG
16.07.2022Just noticed this but usually lowering tyres pressure will cause higher increase in tyres temperature while driving due to increase in friction.
While higher tyres pressure can help to prevent the tyres from overheating due to lower increase in tyres temperature from less friction.
Increased in ambient air temperature, will increase tyres pressure but running the car with lower tyres pressure will cause higher tyres temperature
While higher tyres pressure will help the car to run with lower tyres temperature
It seems like the F1 dev got this mixed up…
Fotis Tsoronis
16.07.2022Hey JD…thnx for the video…tried all setups that you uploaded and have to say that already gaining 0.5-1 sec on tt..!!! I want to ask you if we have to use differnt setups on tt and in races such as career and online lobbies ?
RonniePeterson
16.07.2022Thank you.
SHOWTIME23
16.07.2022How far apart could you go with the wings without compromising the setup? Just thinking of a scenario such as wanting to lower the front wing after quali in parc ferme to have more top speed/ers management
Shadow CRJ
16.07.2022You forgot to mention lowering ride height also reduces the drag profile of the car, previous game it didnt do much but this game it works. Apart from that super good video!👌🔥

16.07.2022For me the most difficult is to adapt a setup into My teams or Career. I try every setup as possible and still can’t do a green lap.

12.07.2022Hey JD, thanks for the great video!
The thing I always have problems with is knowing and deciding what part of the setup I need/should change. Because there are multiple things that can give you more or less rotation, more or less stability, smoother or more aggresive traction, etc., but I struggle to decide what the best thing is to change to get the car to do what I want it do.
How do you yourself know or decide what you are having to change? And do you have any advice on how I or others should decide what to tweak in setups?
Thanks in advance for your response! And keep up the great videos!
Mac Guyver
12.07.2022Medium traction control feels harder to control than tc off in 2021 game. Sometimes i turn in at 300+kmh and it spins like a bayblade which is so frustrating when those bots drive like insane maniacs hahah. I hope this vid will give me some hope or i will go back to 2021 tbh.
Have a good one and keep up the good work:)
Kyle Forgan
12.07.2022Why don’t I have brake pressure!!??
Patrik Aaltonen
12.07.2022I really dont understand the suspension when u say that if u lose the car on the rear in the cops, u have to increase the rear suspension, but rear suspension makes it even easier to lose it?
János Mayer
12.07.2022Thanks. Can you show a video how you do a setup in practise?
Jakub Łuniewski
12.07.2022Hey guys,
What’s the wheel rotation settings you got? Is it 360? 270? Or something else?

12.07.2022Hi please I would like to know how can I see the colors of timing sectors S1, S2 and S3..I can't see them on my f1 2022 ps4
M. R.
12.07.2022For the on throttle differential I usually use 80% on dry, 70% wet and 60% full wet; yesterday I tried 50% but in Austria it has a strange effect: when accelerating out of turn 2, it seems to cut out the engine…very weird (first time I though that the engine blewout) I don't know what's happening, but for a fraction of time the car/engine doesn't accelerate anymore (55% instead works without problems)

11.07.2022Best & MOST Helpful & informative Video "I've ever watched on YouTube." Seriously!!! 🔥🤯🔥 I knew I could Drive Faster, but I could never get the Car to respond & do what I was trying to do & put the Car where I wanted copying someone else's Setups & burning through Tyres in Races using Hotlap Setups I've copied. 🤣 I was drawing a Blank with Setups. Thank you, Bro. & I absolutely don't mind the Longer informative & Race Videos.💯

11.07.2022Anyone else have absolute zero on track effects in his force feedback on baku?
Curbs completely normal but the track surface feels like ice.

11.07.2022THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!!! Ive been playing f1 games for years and never really understood all the components pf the set up. Now i have a better understanding of the setup!! Thank you again !

11.07.2022For me, the hardest part is to understand how each setting affects the others. I think of setups like a small sized bed sheet, if you try to cover one part you will left the other uncovered. Also, front toe always intrigues me. If front toe allows you to be acute when cornering, this sounds like a good thing, right? Then why almost everybody runs with minimal front toe?
I will gladly study this video. Thank you for this posting!
