I’ve been a long time fan of torturous endurance events and so it was in my mind for a long time to do the most gruelling race on Gran Turismo: 200 laps of the 15.77 mile Nurburgring Nordschleife. A challenge that would take more than a day to complete and I would attempt to do it without sleeping and without another driver to help me.
This was all done in order to raise money for the Philippines School Project which in the end we raised £25,500 for! This will go a very long way to helping school children in the Philippines so thank you if you donated.

02.07.2022This is the longest race on gran turismo? Not quite… It is if you use a GT3 car. Heck, if you use a Fiat 500, then it's like 50 hours.
But:
If you use even a Group C or a LMP1 car it's going to take less than 24 hours to finish this race. Each of these cars is over 1 minute (probably about 1 and a half minutes) faster, take it off from those 200 laps and you get about 300 minutes off, which is 6 hours.
If you use a Tomahawk X, it's probably less than 20 hours.
The longest race on gran turismo is the 24 hour Special Stage Route X using a high-tier car. It will take 24 hours no matter what, and depending on your car's top speed, it will do a lot, a loooooooooot of distance. If we go by distance covered at least, SSRX 24hr is by far the longest race. If the average lap is 4 minutes, you can do 360 laps on SSRX which is 10.800km. Nurburgring 200 laps is about 4.160km, not even half the distance.
By time, it depends on the car you use so technically we can't really decide it based on time for given laps in a circuit because every car is different.

02.07.2022Congratulations that’s a decent amount of money you raised. I would do that without it being a fundraiser. I’m a sick person. I can get sub 7 minutes consistently and be comfortable. I got sub 5 minutes for fun but I couldn’t do that pace for 30 hours. I think going any faster the whole time would be more exhausting so I’d go like you did at a comfortable pace or run my normal speed. Great work.
