22.11.2023If AC skill level at 100 isn't enough, you can easily give your own car restrictor / ballast. I personally find 95% well enough. I own AMS2, AMS1, rF2 and even iRacing. But AC is my choice for F1 season. It needs quite a lot of tweaking but it's worth it.

20.11.2023It’s a shame the codemasters can’t make it a proper sim. They did such a good job of the dirt rally games imo. I love the dirty rally me.
See Barry!
20.11.2023Honestly, old F1 cars are far more interesting to drive and they sound better 🤷🏻♂️.

20.11.2023You can actually make custom grid with Content Manager and set the skill and aggression of the drivers individually to match their RL counterparts.

20.11.2023I can’t consider iracing an option given the ridiculous monthly rental fees

20.11.2023Grand Prix 2 is still the solution, over 25 years after its original release!
Tells a lot about EA/Codemasters quality…

20.11.2023To me the game is almost perfect.

20.11.2023I honestly can't support Codemasters since they were bought out by EA.

20.11.2023I’m going to be respectful as possible.
Your a tool!
Your assessment of F1 22 is luckily just your opinion. As it’s not perfect at the end of the day these are all video games so whether your a sim racer or a casual racer your playing a game that’s primary purpose is to have fun.

20.11.2023The fact that codemasters is not a British company that cares about the quality of an F1 game like the ones from the past. The pre codemaster games like when you had on the PS1 and PS2. You won't ever get that type of production unless you have those Companies actually develop a game that's based from England and also the soundtracks were way better than how it is now. Actual car physics and engine and sound and even weather was great back then. Perfect example F1 championship edition on the PS3. That should be the perfect example of an F1 game.

18.11.2023Codemaster's F1 = EA's Fifa/Madden = 2K NBA.

18.11.2023Thanks for saving me a couple bucks. I bought into sim racing about a year ago with a simple rig and a TM T150 wheel. I have a PS5 and primarily play ACC but the cockpit view is a little lacking so I have been interested in f1 as the cockpit view is a little more natural (vs suck in a corner with blinders on in the GT cars). I think ill just deal with ACC for now i guess.

18.11.2023Hi Ermz I was wondering can you do an Assetto Corsa episode for consoles that isn't on the competzione title as I really wanna know if I can experience the joy you seem to get speaking about the original game

Glad to see I’m not the only one who finds that the rear end is excessively unforgiving on corner exit and in any low gear.

18.11.2023"Completely neutral sim racer," is an oxymoron. It can't exist. 🤣 Nice try, heh heh heh. I love you for your clever entertainment value. Only polished pros can pull off a scripted video and make it feel "live". Keep your incredible standards up and I'll keep subscribing and liking. Your video editing are amazing. It reminds me of when I listened to Transister's album on headphones lying down in the dark, and thinking, "Gosh, this sound engineer is leap years ahead of anything I could conceive of doing… All the layers of sound and so well done!"

17.11.2023This was a terrible f1 game. It’s objective fact. Like I’ve played it because there’s no other “f1” game that’s licensed. But that’s not an excuse to call it a good game. For me it’s not even terrible. But when you look back since 2017-2020 The game really has regressed and just gotten so much worse

17.11.2023Ngl y’all just bad drivers
F1-IBRA
17.11.2023Man I really thought i was just a shit driver when i started playing this game but then i realised no tbats not true. Ive done pretty well on f1 2021 and f1 22 just feels completely different in a bad way the physics are completely terrible and just makes no sense especially how difficult it is to control the cars. U cant push to the limit

17.11.2023F1 22 just sucks PERIOD !! !!

17.11.2023Code Master sold out to Electronic Arts. So if there’s any complaint about the game isn’t Code Master’s fault. I play the game. It’s still better than that boring shit of a game NASCAR Heat.

17.11.2023forgot to mention the cool feature in content manager that throws out all my wheel bindings every time i close it 🙂

17.11.2023I've been into sim racing for a couple of years now and tried different cars, but I somehow bypassed Formula 1, it seemed to me that these cars were too fast. But in the last month, I began to like them a lot and I literally fell into all their possible variations in different games.
I want to share my experience, maybe it will be useful to someone.
Firstly, if you do not take f1 22, where, as correctly noted in the video, either children on keyboards or cybersportsmen, and other games that are considered simulators, you won’t be able to play online especially if you look for some leagues, and even I haven't found it at the moment.
Therefore, we will consider either a single player game or cooperative championships with a couple of friends and bots.
And in a single-player game, three points are important – good AI, good physics and FFB, so that it is pleasant to drive a car, and an interesting game context.
Assetto corsa disappears immediately, because there is no game context at all, AI is the most boring of all simulators, and physics and ffb are far from the best among others. If this game had multiplayer on formula cars, then it would be a cool option, otherwise it’s not.
On the other hand, although I am a supporter of exclusively simulators, yesterday I nevertheless decided and tried F1 from Codmasters for the first time. I installed the 2020 version according to reviews, and even driving did not disappoint me. The physics is simplified, ffb is boring, but the car behaves adequately, and in general it is quite playable. At the same time, AI in the game behaves better than in simulators, and there is no need to talk about the game context (career mode, etc.).
As a result, oddly enough, F1 2020 turns out to be almost the best choice.
If we talk about other options in the simulators, then in AMS2 something happened to the AI in the last patches, and it became unplayable. If they fix him, it will be cool, but for now, he began to ram the player here and there, he defends – but nasty, brakes in the middle of the turn, and then shoots forward on cheating physics.
There is an excellent physics mod in Rfactor2 – f1 2022 from A&M modders. True AI in rf2 has also become too aggressive and likes to drive into the player on braking, but if you get used to it, sometimes it defends the inside and you can have a pretty good battles. And to play championships in rf2 (and also in rf1, ams1, race07) there is a cool rf2 log analyzer program. It allows you to download the log of the last race and fills in the table in the browser giving points for the results. It is with the help of it that you can play cooperative championships with AI and friends.
In short, over the past month I have dug a lot of things on the topic of F1 and sim racing and, surprisingly, I found a real treasure, and at the same time, where I did not expect at all.
The best mod for formula 1 is CTDP 2006 for rfactor1.
First, there is a built-in utility that sets up ffb just fine! Secondly, this is the elaboration of the mod itself, car models, sound, and of course the BoP. Just imagine, each model has 20 levels of engine upgrades and aerodynamic efficiency for each of the championship rounds! This is an amazing mod! Moreover, the AI is also greatly improved, it behaves very realistic and at the same time it is very fast.
Yes, of course, rfactor1 is a very outdated simulator, but I installed the sweetfx configurator, which made it possible to significantly improve the picture. At the same time, the built-in utility allows you to get good force feedback, and the mod itself is just super.
Moreover, I managed to convert this mod for AMS1 without any quality loss at all. I won't post it as I don't have permission from the authors but you can try it yourself with rfactor tools.
In short, to enjoy F1, I recommend f1 2020, mod 2022 for rfacotor2 and mod CTDP 2006 for rfactor1/AMS1. Better yet, find a couple of like-minded people and hold a collective championship together.

17.11.2023We all know the best f1 game is grand prix 4 💪

17.11.2023I had never played an f1 game before f1 22 and was interested what career mode was like. I just bought the game on sale for $10 and I love it so far

17.11.2023Dam I just downloaded F22 from Steam for $9.99 and probably within 10 min of playing it I realized it totally sucked- wait I said maybe in a day or two days of playing I would like it- Nope it still sucked- However my 12 year old Daughter just loves playing it so I guess there is a positive for the game-

16.11.2023All I can think about when it comes to Codemasters' F1 is how it's so easy to cheat, it's done even in the official F1 eSports championship. Opmeer, you still the GOAT.

16.11.2023Anyone knows what game is shown at 3:36?

16.11.2023Funny, that odd behavior on curbs/off track i noticed just by watching the trailers. Older versions like 2020 i returned back, because of massive input lag.

16.11.20239:31 I want actual footage of you purchasing the game for literal peanuts. Seriously, handing over a handful (or however many) of peanuts for a copy of the game would be hilarious.
Great video by the way.

15.11.20232022 is not as bad as reviews and people say. I didn’t want to buy it because everyone was complaining about cars “slipping” but they just suck. I played 2020
and 2022 is as good and better because of its updated graphics. The menu is still somewhat unintuitive but you get used to it. As for playing with a controller, make sure brake and steering assists are fully off, traction control on full and you’re good to go.

15.11.2023I got assetto corsa ultimate edition for 7€, then you can just get mods. I get mods from RSS especially.
the good mods are paid but you'll still end up paying less than buying codemasters' game
Mech0p
15.11.2023As much as i hate EA their sports games career modes have always been amazing. I remember playing football back in the day "cant remember the year" but you could buy houses, cars, jewelry i believe and deck everything out. Suprised more games havent tried to replicate it.

15.11.2023Thanks for the video. Now in mid-2023, if you were to choose the best F1 game that doesn't require mods, what would it be? Cheers.

15.11.2023whahahaha the best codemaster game lol. Its so crap. They cant make a race simulator. its a arcade game

15.11.2023There is unfortunately no racing sim that can do a Career mode like F1, that would be the dream game for me, an open ended game where you can compete in multiple series custom championships, with R&D, along with the superior physics, and handling models.

15.11.2023AC is utter garbage , Race 07 is far better
