14.05.2023It's not that we're being negative, we the community just want a functional working game

14.05.2023For Controller players like me, F1 2020 was the latest good F1 game … F1 2021 and F1 2022 horrible with pad, we cant do fast direction changes, but also acceleration is shit with pad with latest 2 games … 1.) F1 2020, 2.) F1 2019, 3.) F1 2018

14.05.2023Hey bring F1 2013 Career mode! Would be awesome!

14.05.2023I managed to find a F1 2018 Steam key yesterday for $7. Gifted to my nephew as I owned 2018 from launch. Win.

14.05.2023The last f1 Game I played before losing my PC and I really loved it

14.05.2023I've gotta say this interesting. I feel handling more predictable on this year's game. F1 22 is the closest I've been to WRs. I used to be 3s off on 2021 and worse than that on 2019 for the same tracks. However I think it was Monaco where I'm like 1,5s on 22. Yeah, not much, heart rate won't reach 100bpm but feels good to be closer. So, i think it varies year to year and driver to driver how our driving styles adapt. Or maybe I've got more to learn, therefore gain in terms of time.

14.05.2023Love some nostalgia games but man this game was meh. Best way to drive the cars was to max the revs for each gear, no 0-50 downforce options, ballast making setups completely insane. The car turning more in lower gears regardless of speed. I can appreciate why this game would be a favourite of yours (peak performance’s resulting in esports qualification) but this game is no better than 22,21 or 20.

14.05.2023damn dude, I can even see how much better it handles based on how the screen reacts to your inputs, crazy that even visually there is way more depth compared to 2022

14.05.2023I really nerded out on 2018 and 2019. Really miss adjusting the fuel.

14.05.20232020 was my favourite game, as I always felt fast around there. F1 2018 was my first year league racing though, I have good memories and always remember having consistency but just lacking the raw pace and usually ended up finishing around 4th-6th. The lack of raw pace and the tyre temp issues made my not like it as much as 2020.

13.05.2023Video games prove that our real earth is flat and motionless, car racing games, flight simulator games are proving that our earth is not spinning.

13.05.2023I just downloaded F1 2020 and didn't realise how bad F1 22 was. It was so much better with a controller and multiplayer actually connected. I have trouble with F1 22. I have to keep taking my internet cable out and put back in to play multi and it takes ages to sign back in.

13.05.2023What I don't understand is how some things improve each year but also some things get worse. I hated 19 engine sounds, 18 had more track details visually than 20, 22 has the worst controller feedback, lobby stability down since 19. When they improve some things, other seem to go downhill

13.05.2023Just watching this video right after playing F1 2018😍

13.05.2023F1 2018, that's an interesting experience for me. It was pretty much a 2.0 version of 2017, so in this perspective, 2018 was a bit lacklustre. But the overall gameplay was improved, so rating 2018 above 2017 is a no-brainer.
The handling became more twitchy but more fun. I can generally feel how fast the cars are particularly in corners.
Battling with the AI is very interesting, they are very fast and able to attack for positions. Although they can be stupid sometimes such as brake-testing you after making an overtake.
Career R&D found the balance between developing the car too fast in 2016 and too slow in 2017. Interviews were finally back since 2011, although I didn't enjoy them too much😂
And finally, they got the engine noise right that year! I really enjoyed listening to the noise when I got the game.
When 2018 was the newest F1 game, I really liked it and it was my favourite. I considered it the best and most complete F1 game at the time. Now I look back, since the later games got even better, 2018 is unspectacular but still decent.

13.05.20232018 had a lot of float and quick snaps which were far closer to reality than to the cruise ship with wings of 2022

13.05.2023Also one of the things I loved about it is the ability to control your ers deployment so much. It involves so many tactics whereas in recent games just 2 modes of ers in the race is so frustrating. If I wanna deploy 0 ers for a lap I should be able to do so
M. R.
13.05.2023I think F1 2018 had the best Force Feedback of the entire series (at that time I used a Thrustmaster T300)

13.05.2023Highly recommend going back to the old games once in a while, especially when you feel 'tired' of the current! Ive been on a classic cars kick lately so I've been playing a lot of 2020 and it's really fun/refreshing.

13.05.2023one of the best f1 games after 2012, f1 was pretty much shit after 2018

11.05.2023This is the hard proof of the F1 22 sucks and people are looking for a better way of entertainment

11.05.2023Probably the game with the most realistic engine sounds from codies from 2018 cuz assetto corsa f1 mods sound like real life.

11.05.2023Yes, I agree & feel that F1 2018 & 2020 are also amongst my favourites, but because F1 2018 has revolutionary career mode team management elements & unique immersive innovations in that mode such as driver interviews/press conferences that can also help/hinder the success of the development of your team, as well as a wide variety of classic cars & championship modes to be unlocked (even though many of them are reverse grid races). What's special about F1 2020 is that it had the brand new innovative My Team career mode- revolutionary innovations that career mode junkies such as Aarava for example & myself would enjoy the most experiencing & exploring those particular games!

11.05.2023Just loved the OST and engine sounds tbh, especially the Renault.

10.05.20232020 is till my favorite and i'll continue playing it until there release something better. Hopefully 2023 will be good.

10.05.2023luckily in F1 22 with the 1.14 patch they buffed the traction of the Joypad so now it's easier to push the throttle hard but the input delay is ridiculous

10.05.2023F1 2018 is my favourite out of all of the F1 games i've played. It is also the F1 game i've played the most. The career and multiplayer is a highlight (the connectivity on multiplayer is a plus as well, always joined into a big lobby) . I have fond memories of it.
Ploppy JR
10.05.2023With all due respect. I’ve been driving f1 2018 recently and the grip just sucks. It’s impossible to actually do anything. You’re so disconnected from the car. 2021 is the peak of what you’re gonna get for the recent f1 game

10.05.2023You should try the RSS Formula 90s mod on Assetto corsa

10.05.2023I'm busy laughing at myself thinking you were on the wheel this whole time. You controller skills are insane!

09.05.2023It would be cool to see you haul ass in the W12 on iRacing.

09.05.2023Eyp guys you can still play the game online and get a full lobby. You get it on instant gaming for like 3 bucks its really worth it in my opinion
Kraxy
09.05.2023You can still play multiplayer and often get full lobbies, buy it for 3$ if you dont have it yet its honestly worth it
Hibi #TeamQueso
09.05.2023I'm still playing F1 2020. I don't see the point of newer games. Maybe F1 23 or 24 if it gets better
Also I don't play that much. I got less than 400 hours total in Steam between F1 2017, 2019 and 2020

09.05.2023Because there aren't driver transfers

09.05.2023Too bad they never fixed the overrevving bs in this game.

09.05.2023this is the only f1 game I own lmao its like $4 on key selling sites and I refuse to take part in the full assistance + cheating scene of the modern game
